Cretan Folklore Night

Wind your way up the hillside to the traditional village of Anopolis. On the way you will experience the sweeping views overlooking “Dragon Island” (Dia).
Your evening will begin when you explore the quaint village of Anopolis, with its magnificent church and icons where you can light a candle for your nearest and dearest. Get the feeling of a real Cretan village when you walk by the many cafenions and see the locals enjoying one or two rakis – raki being the local fire water which will surely get you in the mood for dancing.
Enjoy Cretan cuisine with a mouth watering buffet and free flowing local wine. Watch the fantastic dancers in their traditional costumes from not only Crete but all over Greece entertain you with their many splendid performances including a scene from the famous Zorba the Greek. If you have been to Greece before you will no doubt have heard the sound of the fabulous “Bouzouki” and now is your chance to hear the sound of Cretan “Lyra” as well.
